    Cool Which Headers Are Best???

I need some help here with headers on my '02 Z28. I was leaning towards the Hooker Super Comp Longtube. Are those the best to get or short tube headers?? And what are the pros and cons to short to long?

Get longtubes. Shorties are a waste.
If you want the best bang-for-the-buck longtube, go with pacesetters. But hookers (haha) aren't bad either.

if your looking for the best headers, cost aside, i would think QTP's are it. you def want long tubes like mentioned, as long as you can still pass inspection without a problem. (sorry cali)

i agree best bang for your buck header is the ceramic coated pacesetters.

I like my coated pacesetter longtubes. They fit well and the price is good.

Hooker coated LT with their ORY. Easy install, my ground clearance improved, my car is now in the 12s and 109 MPH. Hookers are tuned length headers, Pacesetters are not. I think QTP are tuned also.

firstly... go long or go home

2nd - Pacesetters (most prefer coated) are the best all around bang for the buck
Hookers are nearly Identical to the pacesetters... i have both in my garage... if you want ill even take pics of them side by side

QTP's can be hit or miss now a days since they're not being manufactured in the same place as they were originally - fitment can sometimes be an issue

Overall best quality header currently available - American Racing Headers
great quality metal, welds, look, merge collector, FITMENT and Gains

and whatever you do - DO NOT buy SLP LT's

Hooker and Pacesetter are really similar. I have Hooker w the ORY-pipe and really woke my car UP! My roommate had or has pacesetter and fit good too. I've been thinking about switching to Edelbrock's drag racing long tube headers. They seem to be stepping up to the LS1 seen. I'm going to research the America Racing Headers. I'd like to know and see what they are like.

I you are looking for the best gains, I would say QTP. If your on a budget and 3 or 4 horsepower is not worth the extra $400 - $500 go with Pacesetter.

Here is a link to QTP.
