Just leave the manifolds on there, otherwise you're just wasting $$$

You know the long tubes are really the way to go. But in my case which may be similar to yours. I wanted headers from a few reasons ( extra POWER and SOUND) but at the same time I really liked the curent exhaust I had as far as tips larger y pipe nore did I want to change alot on my car. So I didn't want to drop a ton of money to but new headers, hi flow cats and a y. I got edelbrock shorties. They must have cut about 25 lds. off my car (cast iron is heavy) added some power and a touch deeper tone. I kept all the emisions have no code problems I was really happy! I would do it again for thoes reasons. Any questions PLEASE ASK

This must be a weekly routine cuz this is the 5th time this month someone has asked this. I did a search on threads about headers and there is an ass load of posts for just: "Headers"

Sorry, didn't mean to bust on you. Just funny when I see a whole new post about the best headers etc.

Don't know which headers are the best but, from some of the other posts about the same subject, seems Pacesetter are about the best in fittment and performance.

From what Curtis Luos said in another thread, stay the hell away from SLP.

That's about as much as I know about it. Hope that helps. Sorry for bustin on ya.

Pacesetter are great fitting, and perform well and the price isnt as hefty as say the Slp headers.
Like said above stay away from shorties, the manifolds that came on our cars flow about the same as shorties.
If your looking to shave a few pounds then remove the spare tire, Otherwise go long or save the cash for other mods.
