    Headers

What do you think about these hooker headers from exotic performance plus? http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...x.html?item=48

Also do you think I should spend a little more and get the Kooks or spend a little less and get pacesetter? What kind of gains will I see from each? And how much better is ceramic coating at keeping the heat down in the engine bay than stainless steel? Thanks

I say get the Kooks if you can afford em. Yes the gains will be the same but the Pacestters will be rusty in 2 years.

I am moving to Tulsa,OK in a couple of months. So basically the only advantage to the Kooks header is they will never rust? The fitement and gains will be pretty much the same? And will the ceramic coating on the pacesetters keep the heat down better than the s/s kooks?

it might keep heat down better than the kooks, but i'm not quite sure. Either way the ceramic coating will flake off and rust eventually

Pacesetter is the best bang for the buck and they come in both painted and ceramic coated.

I was worried about clearance so I went w/ MACs and they tucked up nice under my car. I even take em over speed bumps w/ no problems!

Well I really dont want a header thats going to flake and rust. So im willing to spend the money, so at this point the decision is between Kooks, QTP, and Hooker. Now there all relatively around the same price but the Kooks and the QTP are s/s and un-coated. The Hooker super comps come coated for around that same price. The Hookers at EPP say their mid-length???? They look like longtubes to me?

I have the pacesetter ceramics with the off road y, and love them. Great ground clearance and The shop that put mine in said they are by far the easiest to install, and they have done many ls1 camaros. + they are fairly cheap got mine on ebay with the y pipe for $499. Too me Kooks is way overpriced and you can use the extra 400-500 bucks on a new cam!!!
