headers
I have a stock 01 trans am and i was trying to buy some LT Headers with a off rod y pipe, but my question is, will the car run rich? and would the car throw any coed's and if so how could i fix it?

More then likely you're o2's will throw codes due to being farther down the exhaust and "cooler". Some people get the codes, some don't but most of the time older o2's do it. These codes won't hurt performance but will be a pain in the ass to look at the engine light. Best way to do this is LT's, ORYP and a Frost tune all at once. Then you will get maximum power and the car will run the way it should. Frost is well known on this board and haven't heard one bad report yet out of hundreds if not thousands

you will run rich. the o2's are used to seeing the same amount of exhaust gases in a much smaller area. when theyre installed in a 3inch pipe instead of a 2.25 inch pipe they see less of the gases because theyre spread out which makes them think the engine is lean and it throws more fuel at it
