Header size 1 3/4" or 1 5/8"
What header size are most of u using? My mechanic friends say that 1 5/8 is sufficient unless you have serious motor mods. They said 1 3/4 for a car w/ bolt ons won't be as good. What's your opinion?

Most aftermarket longtubes for the LT1 and LS1 motors are 1 3/4" primaries.

Pacesetters are the most common LS1 headers, and they only come in 1 3/4" (longtube).

Yea 1 3/4 is the way you want to go, even if its your only mod. I have 1 7/8 and I have a friend that has 2"
now our motors our bigger cubes but 1 3/4 is what you need!Mike Berry
