GOOD LUCK GOING IN FROM THE TOP. I WISH YOU THE BEST. LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS OUT. I JACKED MINE & PUT THEM IN FROM UNDERNEATH. MUCH EASIER BUT WILL STILL NEED PATIENTS. STILL NEED TO DROP A COUPLE THINGS. GOOD LUCK

I meant that I have already installed headers from under the hood. It was done on my last ls1 car. I now have a different one and if its easier to go in from the bottom then I will give that a try. BTW It took me and my brother 5 to 6 hours to do the swap from the top last time. How long should it take to go in from the bottom???

That's why I used Kooks gaskets instead of reusing mine, because Kooks has the metal. But two of my bolts came loose causing a small leak. I tightened them back up and a month later I had another leak, only this time it was gasket failure. Seems the first leak caused the felt to move/blowout so the metal started flapping against the Head and the Headers. So I replaced the drivers side gasket with the original, the passenger side still has the Kooks Gasket installed.
