    Header Gaskets

    Just ordered some lt pacesetters for my 02 ss, just wondering what type of gaskets to get as ive heard the ones that come with them arent very good. price not an issue as i want the best ones of course.

    Or reuse the stock ones... if they aren't messed up.. they will work just fine.

    Stock GM gaskets will do you best.

    You can even reuse the stock ones as long as they are un good condition

    Use the stocks.
    Before you put them on smear a thin coat of Ultra Cooper Permatex on the header side...... Let it sit up for 15-20 min. depending on how warm it is and you never have any leaks.You can also smear some on the threads of the header bolts and it will aid in keeping them tight.
    Wipe the gaskets and spray the bolts with brake clean prior to the Permatex.

    If you go with Percy's, get the dead soft aluminum ones. A few more bucks, but I hear they are top-notch.
