    Head gasket help...

    Hi guys,

My bolt on build is almost complete but i have hit a dead end. I need a pair of stock head gaskets but the dealer here only has the left side and i cant seem to find any anywhere. I'm taking a trip across the water to Saudi tonight to see if i can get some there but if that fails i need to order some from our company distributor in the US.

I was thinking of ordering Cometic head gaskets but i they need to be exactly the same size and thickness as the original gaskets...can you guys please post up the original gasket dimensions, Bore and thickness etc...

    Thanks for your help guys.

Just to keep you updated here is a list of the mods and progress...

So I take it the LS engines won't accept the same gasket for either side like the old small blocks?

YES there is a difference in gaskets!! I performed a similiar build earlier this year and you have to order the correct gaskets for your model year. The 98-99 year is different from the later years. Go to texas-speed.com and you will see the differences they offer. Let me know what you find out......

Are your heads milled? If not I'd go with a .057 thick Cometic for 3.910 bore. If your heads are milled you might have to run a thicker gasket and check for PtV clearance with that MS4.
    '02 ws6.....mods? nope
