Harmonic Balancer problem
Im in the middle of my heads and cam swap and when I removed my harmonic balancer one of the tabs that the puller grabs onto on the back of the pulley has broken off. Can I still use this or should I get a new one? Im just worried it will be off balance and cause problems. Thanks

The words "Harmonic Balancer" Say it all.. Damage to the balancer can cause vibrations in the crank which could lead to main bearing failer and/or rod bearing failer. "Egged" out cylinder walls..etc.etc.. I would replace that @ your earliest....

yeah, you'll need another one. I would just do an underdrive pulley while you have everything apart. Another thing is to be careful putting the new pulley back on. I would make an install tool and "push" it on instead of trying to pull it down with the stock bolt or a longer than stock bolt. You risk pulling the threads out of the crank doing it that way. If you want to put a stock pulley back on there I have my old stock one that I'd sell you but like I say, as long as you have it apart do an underdrive pulley.

My plans are to Procharge it so I dont want to spend money on an under drive pulley just to take if off again. Im just gunna get a stock balancer in the mean time. Can you go into more description about the "correct" install procedure or what I have to do? thanks

how fast are you needing it? I have 1 tool made that I used on mine I'd sell you....PM me an offer. Or I can just cut you a length of threadstock here if you have a place that has nuts for it....you'd need 3 16mmx2.0 pitch and a stack of washers that'll fit over the thread stock.
