Gutted stock muffler.
Has anybody ever gutted there stock muffler? Well, one day I was bored and decided to gut out my muffler. It took a few hours , but I think it sounds good. Alot better than stock. What do you guys think? I just have to fix the heat shield, it rattles.

def. sounds better than stock. I'd still invest in an exhaust to open up the air flow

I wish I could hear it. F-in dial-up!!
The stock muffler without any packing is pretty weak. The packing is its backbone.

I cut open the outer layer and the inner layer of the muffler. Inside the muffler is three baffles, which restricts air flow. I used an air saw and removed the baffles, which made it a wide open muffler. I then welded up the inner layer and then the outer layer.
