    GRANATELLI MAF sensor.

Has anybody actually dynoed before and after a GRANATELLI MAF sensor? I just put mine on from summit and I can feel and hear a difference, but some people on here say not to bother cause the stock MAF sensor is good to over 500 HP! Has anybody actually got dyno proof they dont add HP. Thanks.

mafs pretty much have to be tuned for. otherwise most will call bs on an aftermarket one doing anything good for a car. you can ask for hp/tq numbers all day but the gains are within the 3% dyno error. but e.t. times would be better to look for. but i doubt there are any.

I cant afford one, I just have wild dreams of one day being able to afford it and make serious MAF power.

Unless a person adds about 10% more in H.P, the so called gains you feel are in your head.
MAFs have been talked about quite often here threw the years, do a search in the forum.
MAFs are a useless mod unless a person is making alot of power.

Oh I hear it "LOUD" and "CLEAR", LOL! Thanks. Also, I forgot to add that it's red and looks cool. LMFAO, I guess I wasted $450 bucks. The placebo effect is good for a couple HP right. JK.

Hello MAF's are not a power adder. Lets make this simple since I have the money and choose not to buy one..

A cam is a power adder..
    Nitrous Oxide power adder...
    FI power adder..

A MAF at most like stated above may give a 3% gain.. LoL that will not put the feel in the seat of your pants. The reason people dont do the G MAF is DYNO proof and all the problems many people have had with the G MAF. Do a search and you will see threads about it. Heck go to LS1Tech sorry LS1.. Do a search there about the G MAF... Saying why people dont do it is because of the money is a slap in alot of peoples face. They have the money they are just smart.

Ok my bad, sorry for the name calling and the stupid comment about not being able to afford one but I still think it's worth buying because i would like to do as much as possible without touching the motor. I find it hard to beleive you could not here the difference when you added your Lid though! Has anybody heard there engine sound more powerful with better induction flow? I have.

I didnt hear anything after a FAST 92 intake and PTM 92 TB. That was coming from a crapola LS1 intake also. I heard nothing different.

Thats weird, I am sure when I got rid of the stock Lid and baffles it sounded like it was sucking more air and when I added the granatelli MAF sensor I hear it more. Intake Air flow I mean not HP, LOL.
