you must not have heard much exhaust cackle in your short life.
go to a corvette message board and ask the question of whats the best exhaust, most will answer the B&B tri flow.
as for the f-body, the most popular catback out there is the magnaflow, that speaks for itself.

whats lousy about magnaflows catback, do tell.

its one of the most free flowing exhausts out there.
i really want to know what makes it lousy as you say.

btw, corsa mufflers have had a tendency to fall off after awhile

Wish I had a video camera then I could record what my car sounds like with the GMMG, long tubes and no cats. It's okay cruising at low speeds around but gets raspy on the high end. Cruising down the interstate at 80mph is a bit annoying imo.

I personally think it sounds like the Hooker Aerochamber which is too quiet. Im all about bad ass idle and muscle car roar. The Magnaflow just doesn't do that for me at all.

add headers and both sound mean. both on stock manifolds arent the most loudest catbacks out there.

I had GMMG on stock manifolds and thought it sounded good. Now i added Pacesetters and catted y and it sounds badass. I would not go any other way. Only way it sounds raspy is when there is no cats.

Tips need help, but that isn't a big deal.

I also can't see spending anything over $500 on a catback.
    Corsa/Borla/GMMG = $750'ish'
    Magnaflow and Pacesetters = $900'ish'

I am too much of a performance guy to spend that much on a catback alone.
That's what I got, along with the ory and it sounds perfect. no rasp
