Gmmg, stock manifolds, no cats
Hi. Pretty soon I am going to put a Gmmg catback on my car. Eventually I am going lt's and an ory; however, that won't be untill later next year. In the meantime I was wondering how would stock manifolds with no cats and the gmmg sound. I would put a bullet in the i-pipe, but was wondering if it would still be raspy even though it's on stock manifolds, with no cats, and a bullet in the i-pipe. Also what are some different bullets I should use. I was thinking sweet thunders, magnaflow, or flowmaster 1-chamber.

i have Lt's and ORY going to my gmmg and it sounds good, very loud but not too much rasp. I think you will be alright to just try it and if you don't like how it sounds you can always add a bullet

I was wondering though would the rasp differ from stock manifolds to Lt's or does rasp just depend on cats

I'd like to start off by stating I don't consider myself an expert on the subject but in my opinion I think the biggest deciding factor to rasp is cats, I'm ORY and the rasp is there, however, LT's also add to it. As for a previous comment about someone stating that bullets do not get rid of rasp I completely disagree with this comment. I've seen this done and it helps what I intend on doing is putting a borla bullit, they have the cleanest sound out of any exhaust. Although do expect a considerable volume reduction aswell. This is only my personal experience with Borla bullits i would expect other brands such as magnaflow and slp to not do such a good job of cleaning the sound as borla.

which cat-back did you have on before? maybe thats whats making the difference, the borla bullet that cleared up all the rasp on the car I'm talking about had corsa cat-back.

if you want deep sound the 1 chamber flowmasters are really deep sounding and still flow well. a resonator type bullet will all be the same just about so just go with the dynomax ones they are the cheapest. but if you have the money i would go with the borla xr-1 mufflers they are extremely good flowing and still provide more torque then bullets
