Blackened fire chicken- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
glass packs would definitely be louder...i run with stock manifolds and cats with an slp y-pipe and an electric cutout with no muffler. basically like a straight pipe set up with a cutout...its fairly loud

Welcome. Glass packs are louder then a flowmaster system. Do you really want to live with a glass pack system ?

what's the rest of your exhaust set up and what are your plans for the exhaust if it's still stock? Do you plan on headers with no cats or anything like that down the road? I would factor all this in before buying the first piece. A cutout is pretty damn fun to have so I personally would go with a quieter muffler to have when you need it and put an electric cutout on it for when you want it loud.

Glass packs sounds like crap IMO.....but mufflers/exhaust comes down to personal preference as far as sound goes.

If you get LT'S down the road flowmaster sounds JUST LIKE A TRUCK...Sounds good..On a F150. Plus flowmaster flows like shit.
The only flowmaster that are any good would be super 10s. That's for a nice dual system though.SLP CAI...P/P TB...LS6...PACESETTER LTS...TSP TDS...3.73s...UMI: STRUT-LCAs-TA-PH ROD-POLY MMs
BILSTEINS/STRANO...FROST TUNE

IMO glass packs sound good when you first install them, but when they blow out, and that's pretty quick, you can forget music or conversation while driving.

Both my cars has true duals/x-pipe with glasspacks and they are not bad at all. My Z28 has the ms4 cam and it drowns out my buddies ss that had slp1 with the polluter cam. My ss has a mild cam and it has a nice rumble to it. Both cars of which dont have that rasp at 3k like most catbacks have.

^^^Your X-pipe really helps the exhaust out, esp w/glass packs. I bet it does sound nice. I had a vehicle once with some long glass packs, sounded great. I also had one with some short glass packs, it was pretty obnoxious until I fabbed an H-pipe for it. Yours on the Camaros are dumped before the axle?
