gears? new rear end? and stall converter???
hi everyone im kinda new to the mods list for the ls1's. i was just wondering what is the purpose of getting new gears, a rear end, and stall converter? also im getting an 01 z28 and am trying to see what mods would get me into the mid 12 range. thanks alot everyone.

Rear end - Because your going to break your 10 bolt tomorrow
Steeper gear - gets you in the powerband quicker, in general, gets you moving... quicker.
Stall - try a search, info everywhere about them.
If you buy all 3 of these and get a sticky tire, you will see your 12's

Gears as said before. As a result of getting into your power band and moving quicker the car will feel like it has a lot more power. You won't see much difference on dyno's, etc. but it will feel alot more powerful.
Rear ends are much disputed on here BUT if you take care of it and aren't beating on it, dropping the clutch, etc. you should be ok with a 10 bolt.
Stall you will have to do some searches but it's the cat's meow from my understanding on auto's. I'm a M6 guy and couldn't care less about Auto's.
