Here you go. Note the areas around the front of the passenger side head as well as the top of the throttle body, as well as the ugly pipes and hose running from one manifold to the other on the before pics.

    Another question

Where did you buy the plug that goes on the intake?

That's right kids, only gain is if you remove the extra weight from the EGR and its' plumbing, then the weight from the air pump and its' plumbing. So you don't gain any HP, only lose weight if you actually remove the items. Simply turning them off or tuning them out does nothing for HP, only emissions.

Chevy-Art, I bought my EGR plug (for the top front of the intake) from SLP.

My EGR valve went out... as posted earlier.. and I have SES light on due to the cats being removed so what is the process of ridding myself of the AIR and EGR system?

Well my 98' just turned 121,000. It still runs great and doesn't burn a drop of oil. As far as i know the heads flow no differently they just have the perimeter bolt pattern. Only the 01-02's don't have EGR. The PCM is really a non issue as there are plenty of people that tune 98's. Also the 98's had bigger injectors and cam than the 01-02's. I have also known of quite a few guys that have gone 10's on the stock 98' bottom end. I have no complaints.
