Front accessories
I guess this is the right forum...if not, I won't gripe if someone moves it. For an LS1 swap into a 1991 Miata, what donor car has the most compact front acessories? I'm figuring truck parts are out, since I think they'd put the alternator into the hood. The car might end up with A/C, but not sure yet.

My recollection is that there are three mounting systems: Corvette, truck and F-body. Carcraft had a real nice write up on LS accessory drives a few months ago: http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles...ide/index.html

Thanks...what about the GTO? Did that use F-body stuff or something unique?

From the article, it seems only the F-car setup has any prayer of fitting without serious surgery.
It says rthe CTS-V also uses the F-car setup. (Like I'd ever find someone oparting one of THOSE out...)
I recall their Elky's engine actually came from a GTO...
Am I nuts for actually considering a 400+HP Miata?

Are you trying to make a LS version of the Banshee project from Gearz by Stacey David and Monster Miata?

Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.

While I'm here: is there an easy way to put together a setup that deletes the A/C and the power steering pump without a bunch of idlers? The Miata will have neither.
