Thats why the factory LT1 exhaust tips were both offset to one side to center them back up under the rear facia.

We used the single 4 inch system,,,with single in,,,single out, 4 inch muffer. Actually the tailpipe tucks up under the rear facia so well with a small turndown you couldn't really see any of it.
I almost got that one but I felt that the dual outlet looked better.just my opinion.do you think that the dual 3" outlet versus the single 4" outlet holds me back any?

No probably not. Although the muffler design is quite different and could possibly be a little more restrictive than the more simple design of single in single out. I'm sure it's nothing that you would see,,,assuming that you do have the 4 inch intermediate pipe,,,right????

We had ours tucked up nicely,,,you couldn't even see the 4 inch single tailpipe unless you stuck your head under there. It looked as though the car didn't have any tailpipes at all. It was funny to see peoples reactions when they got down on their knees to check it out.
I'm one that personally thinks these 4th gens look better without tailpipes since there is no facia to contain them,,,unless you have the CME setup.

yes it has the 4" intermediate and its pretty loud with the pipes exiting just below and flush with the facia and no cats.my wife and I had parked by the lake near my house and were walking around, on our way back to the car I hit my remote start without realizing a family of five near my rear bumper. When the car kicked off the three children jumped about a foot off of the ground the parents were also startled and continued to give me the evil eye as we walked passed each other. It was all I could do to keep from laughing out loud.Wish I could have got it on video.

Hahaha,,,I did that to a group of people leaning on the back of my car at a cruise in one night. I was ticked so I quietly opened the door and hit the key and cracked the throttle.
