my flowmaster sounds WICKED!!! But is so restrictive its costing me about 10 hp at this point if I leave my cutout closed. It doesnt sound as killer as it did with the stock exhaust so Im going to go magnaflow now that I got my headers and cattd y w/cutout.

Generally speaking if you open headers on a car and it slows down,,,,it's more than likely due to a lean condition. The car needs to be tuned accordingly.
This is why my car feels sluggish with open headers compared to with the td's. The low end picked up dramatically when the exhaust was installed, and I can't wait to see how it reacts to a tune. I have Flowmaster single chambers in my td setup, so I proably lost power over stock though...

a muffler alone will not cost you 10hp

You are kidding right??? I think you missed some of the previous posts...

Are you assuming this from what others have said???? Which would mean your 10 HP claim is just a guess???

its possible if he has stock exhaust with just the muffler, depending on where the cutout is...

I have no expertise on this what so ever, just repeating what the tuner said (House of Power and CMS) as far as being somewhat restrictive compared to a better flowing system since I had the heads/cam job done and the motor needed to breathe. I wish it sounded the same as before he headers, they are just bitchen sounding.

All I know is when I pulled the stock muffler off my TA it had all kinda wadding or (sound deadening) material in it and the flow master had none, I'm not real happy with the overall sound but the car goes just fine
