flowmaster 40 series...
anyone have this one their ls1? or heard it on anybodies? howd it sound?thinking about replacing my slp with it

They sound good if you dont have headers and louder then some of the other mufflers but isnt the best flowing exhaust. Then again its not a big difference in how much you get to the wheels from just a mufflers. If you like the sound then go for it, down the road you want it louder put on a cut outs and call it a day.

You will have to go with true duals or some other custom system if you want to run a 40 series. Those are the best sounding mufflers from them imo. I had a FM catback with the 80 series and that was a waste of $$$. For the price, go with another brand like Magnaflow, Spintech, etc.

where in PA are you? I'm running a pair of super 44's on my goat. headers, heads, cam and 3" true duals......i love them

you might want to look into putting a dynomax bullet muffler ($18 from summit racing) on the end of your Y pipe to quiet it down.
if I get up that way or you make it down this way I'd be more than happy to let you hear mine to see if you like it
