Red- 99 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28
few questions bout performance after header install
i put a set of pacesetter long tube headers in my camaro...i need a few band clamps to hook up my ory pipe....i took it down the highway with wide open headers...which was fun, but obnoxiously loud....but my car just doesnt seem like it has all the top end power i used to....am i just thinking weird stuff, or do i actually need a tune for it...i know alot of guys put headers in and dont tune their car, but is it possible that i HAVE to? i did remove air/egr and their just left unhooked, and removed rear o'2 which all this stuff isnt tuned for. could these be part of my top end issue too? or am i just being paranoid??? any info would be appreciated thanks in advance

I would say to go ahead and get it tuned, made a world of difference after my lt header install.

You need a tune to take advantage of gains from the headers.
I put the new Frost tuned computer in and this thing is running awesome.
BTW get some heat shielding for your wires while your at it,I melted a boot already.2010 Camaro SIM 2SS/RS A6

I have the coated lt pacesetters, been on for two years and no issues with plug wire boots melting, and until two weeks ago there were some cheap azz wires on there.

get the rest of the exhaust on and get a tune for it. Even just putting the exhaust back on it will help you quite a bit.

Sounds like you already ordered them, but maybe this will help for next time. At home depot in the plumbing section, near the fernco couplings is a coupling that looks like an exhaust band clamp. It has a rubber liner inside it. Just take out the rubber and put it on the pipe. 3.59 each.

It seems like a tune is either a hit or miss after bolt ons. I have seen some guys gain 15rwh after a tune, and some as little as 5-6.
