    Feedback on installing an LS7 intake!!

    Just wanted to know if anyone had any comments or experience even with this intake. Is it beneficial to an LS1 (2001)? the reason i'm asking is because a friend of mine is selling it to me it's of the crate engine he just got delivered!! Any information will be greatly appreciated!!

    I'm pretty sure that it won't work on an LS1 engine. You'll have to have the LS7 heads along with it and they won't work either because the valves are too big. Correct me someone if I am wrong...

    I think the only way you can use the LS7 manifold is if you get some aftermarket LS7 heads like ET. They make some LS7 style heads but I believe the bore size has to be at least 4.03" for the heads to work.

    i think it would be pointless, you have an ls6 intake allready.

    Well it would be nice to have an LS7 because they flow alot better than the LS6. But they simply wont work with LS1 heads, only LS7 heads. I think its the intake runners are a different configuration is the reason why the don't work.

    Yea you guys were right. I have been doing a lot of reading on these new blocks and heads and they wont fit. Last night I picked up the last months GM High Performance and they explained alot in their articles, concerning the new 7.0 LS7 aka 427!!! I really appreciate all of your quick replys. thanks
