FEEDBACK ON Electric Cut-outs???
I NEED YOUR HELP. I'M THINKING OF ADDING THOSE ELECTRIC CUTOUTS. THE ONES ACTIVATED BY A SWITCH. PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE AN AWSOME PRODUCT THAT SOUND REALLY MEAN... BUT ON THE OTHER HAND THERE'S OTHERS THAT SAY IT SOUNDS LIKE CRAP AND THAT THEY MESS UP MY CAR'S COMPUTER. DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY FEEDBACK ON THIS??? I CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND!

If you're just going to put one in the pipe under the rear seat computer will be fine (won't throw any codes). As far as sound goes, some like it - some don't.

you have to put them after your O2 sensors in order for it not to mess up the Computer, and usually we only use one cutout, unless you already have true dual exhaust, the gains from an electric cutout aren't excellent, it gives a nice sound tho, gains are usually 5-10 HP at most depending on mods
i plan to get one, since i cant afford headers
hope this helps

So As Long As I Put Them Behind My Rear Seat It Won't Throw Off Any Computer Codes Off? They Suggested To Put It Right Along My Muffler. They Are Alot Cheaper Than Having To Buy A New Muffler Exhaust And Cat So That's Why I Wanted To Go Through This Option.

I have dual manual cutouts. One at each header. I have a motor in my car that can use this though.
I wouldn't go electric personally. Heard several horror stories about them sticking, not shutting all the way, leaking, etc...
No thanks.
A single cutout is best for most cars. Gains aren't much. Install right after the y-pipe. Sound is questionable. With headers it will be LOUD and annoying after a while.
Good to pull into a show though.

I have two manual cut outs right behind the headers where the cats use to be. I will say this..ITS VERY LOUD! I only remove them on special occassions like when me and 20 other F-Bodies go on our weekly cruise, or the track. The other thing is when you let off the gas you will get alot of popping noises..sounds like a tommy gun going off. Electric ones are nice but they will fail and you will have issues.

YEAH LET ME KNOW!!! THESE WERE THE ONES I WAS PLANNING TO BUY. ONCE YOU PUT THEM ON LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS AND HOW IT SOUNDS. I'D LIKE TO KNOW FROM SOMEBODY THAT'S HAD THEM ON. THE MECHANICAL FAILURE SCARES ME A LITTLE BUT I LIKE THE IDEA OF OPENING THE CUTOUTS FROM INSIDE...!
