You will want to get the 3" and put it in the i-pipe if you have all stock exhaust.

I've heard of issues with sticking on many of them. They sound like ass on some cars too.

Do Any Of You Guys Know If It's A Pain In The Butt To Run The Wires For The Electric Cutout System To The Inside Of The Car? Where Would You Run The Wires Through?

there are drain plugs for the rear floor pan, you can take them out, or cut a hole in them, then you can run the wire up through there under the carpet and along the underside of the door molding, then up behiend the bottom part of the dash to the center console or where ever

When people say their cut out does not shut all the way after time, what does this sound like? If it does not shut all the way will your exhaust just be a little louder then if fully closed? I dont fully understand what the effects of the electrical cut outs not shuting properly are, any input will be great.

It sounds like an exhaust leak.

Is there any electric cutout that lots of people actually recommend? I think it would kick ass to have that over the manual, unless it's shitty and you have to deal with problems all the time.

    I have QTP.

You just need to be careful if your car is lowered. If you bang the tip of the cutout motor, like on a speed bump, you can damage it.

Also, you should open and close it every once in a while, or else carbon build up can occur and can keep you from being able to open/close it.

Otherwise, this is a sweet little mod.

So you're not having the same sticking and leaking problems I've heard so many complaints about with the electric cutouts?

I guess either you get good information before buying one, or it's a learning process; as with anything.

My first one got broke when I hit a huge speed bump I should have known I couldn't clear. Got it fixed, but then just let it stay open all the time. Soon, one night I tried to close it, and it wouldn't.

Ive had a dmh cutout for abut nine months, i open and close it atleast twice a day and it still running strong, and their is no leaks that i can tell.

and i think it sounds better than any muffler, and i just got headers a month ago so its 2x as loud now. if you get an electric one i would definitley go with dmh.

    re

Yeah. You have to open and close it every once in a while. I had a McCord Powerplate (117$) for 3 years and it worked just fine until one winter I didn't open it for over a month and then it wouldn't open anymore.

i know of 2 qtp elect cut outs that the motors burned out (they believe from the spray)

i vote for regular ones - get under & un bolt when you want it loud
