    FAST TB/intake question

I am not very up to speed on this changing out the intake TB stuff...Just wondering if I buy the slightly used FAST set up I am looking at, (I believe it is a 90/90...which I assume means 90mm TB??) will my car will run proper without a tune.

I do plan on getting a tune but I am just wondering if it will run OK prior to that. Any advice I can get on this would be great. Thanks!

You could run it fine with ls-6, with a 90 your definatley going to get a code, your goping to ditch the egr right? And the 90 isn't worth it unless you have at minimum a cam in there just not pullin in enough air with a stock cam.

    Unhappy

Hmmmm..cant afford cam/head work yet. I hope to get that kind of work done down the road...so I will get no gain just a code if I go ahead with that intake and throttle body install??

It will not run as well as an ls6 intake and ported throttle body

You will not NEED tuning. Wouldnt hurt though. I swapped my LS1 intake for a FAST 92/92, waited 6 months before tuning it in.

So you would you say the swap was a worthwhile venture...notice any performance difference? I found this intake and throttle body for same price as an ls6 intake from SLP that is why I am considering.

Well, I have ported heads (shit heads IMO) and a cam. So, the gains were probably worth it. If you hav no future plans of heavy modding... I would dump that money into suspension. When in doubt of what to spend your money on... Think suspension.

You would probably notice more of a difference in times from the suspension mods then just the intake without the heads or cam.

What kind of suspension mods would you suggest to get the differences?

Springs, Koni Shocks, SFC's, Lower control arms, Sway Bars, Adj. Torque Arm, Adj. Panhard Bar... Super Chevy did a suspension swap on an 01 Camaro the ran a 13.55 bone stock. they put SFC's larger sway bars, new springs and shocks, and i think one or two other things but im not sure and it ran a 13.14 without any power mods.

I did not know suspension stuff could make for better times...just thought that would make it handel better cornering and hold it together so things did not twist from the power adders.

suspension makes a huge difference on the launch and how well the tires plant. you need to load the front suspension and transfer that weight to the rear as quickly as possible so you can be down and out
