fast lsx92mm intake
What kind of power out of a stock ls1 with a full exhaust could I see if I had one of these bolted on with a 92mm tb. Is their any downs to this, I will plan on doing a head and cam swap probably in the process but wanna know what kind of power to expect out of this, and is a bigger maf a must or would the stocker still work? Thanks

if your gunna be cam'ing your car it is going to want to breathe, the most air in and the most air out as quick as possible. I saw 21rwhp with my 92/92 set up (with torquer 2 cam)....the shop where i had my car dyno'd said on a stock LS expect around 11 hp. I did notice the difference when i drove it after the intake swap. As for the MAF about 97% of people will tell you the stocker is always fine, but i just happened to pick up a Granitelli one for $50 when i bought my car so i cant really tell yea where to go with that. But the stocker will be fine for the intake

IMO, an ls6 intake or maybe a fast 90 would be plenty for a stock ls1

A FAST 92 and FAST 90 are identical with the exception of a 2mm wider mouth opening. It was more of a marketing scheme when they came out with the 92mm IMO.
OP, if you have the extra cash, go for the FAST. If you are patient, look for a used 90 or 92 and save some coin.370 CI - Twin 6766 Turbo - Jakes stage 5 4L80E - MWC 9" - Holley Dominator

oh ok I appreciate the advice, and if the only difference between the 92 and 90 is the opening in the mouth I will just stick with a 90 then. And it wont be stock cause I will be buying a set of heads and cam for it and having it installed at the same time I mean why not already in their working on that part anyway miswell do the rest. Glad I asked the question about the lsx92 never would have known the only difference is the opening of the mouth thats kinda cheap if you ask me.

The FAST 90mm hasn't been made for a long time. The FAST 92 also comes with stainless hardware and molded in inserts for the throttle body screws. Unless you get a really good deal on a 90, there is no reason not to go with the 92.
