    Sounds like your y is banging on the floorboard under the drivers side. Really common problem. Like kenro said, you can have a hanger welded onto the y on that side. That will keep the y stood off the floorboard. Or, you can tweak the y on that side enough so it won't bang.

    Thumping or banging almost has to be something loose. If you have exhaust clearance under the car, with poly mounts things are not going to move all that much. Grab your tailpipes and knock them around a bit -- up/down and side to side. If it doesn't bang, I doubt it is the exhaust. Tightest exhaust clearances are over the rear axle against the body and under the driver side floor brace.

    Not looking for any noise how ever wanted to replace the 14 yr old mount. Anyone have the poly mount and what were the results?
