Exhaust Cutout?

I was thinking about getting a cutout, but i dont have enough money for an electric one yet...if i were to get a manual one, can i just order the electric peice later and put it on? Also, i was wondering about how much of a gain it would give me, and what kind you all would reccomend, thanks.

I just bought a manual one and paid $55 shipped. Its stainless steel. Yes u can add the electric later. Not sure what your gains would be w/ a 6 cylinder. With mine its around 12 RWHP

I can take mine off in less than a minute

I didn't know you gain that much HP from a cutout. I thought it was mostly just for sound.

yes and the cut outs sound best if u still have your cats and manifolds
I love mine !!!!!!!!! I was going to do some video of it this weekend but got sick so maybe soon as I get better I will do it. the sound it great for only $55 part 30 labor

yes all the air restriction from the muffler is gone. u will lose a little power on bottom end but gain on top end. at WOT IT SOUNDS WICKED !

your take off speed, with a cut out you lose backpressure on the exaust system but more than makes up for it on top end speed

I did a cut out when i did my LTs and ORY. Around 12rwhp seems about avg for the mod from what i have seen inless you have H/C/I. The only thing is to watch out where you put it because they hang low and can take away lots of ground clearance. I say do the electric if you can so you dont have to get under the car to open and close it every time inless you plan to leave it open the whole time.
