Well in the Vette World - Granatelli offers this system

$450.00 how can you beat it? Sounds great makes awsome power - Not really loud and no drone

I put a mid-loud exhaust on 4 convertibles ago and promised myself to never do that again. Either make it as loud and bad sounding as you can get away with or keep it stock minus a bit. deep drones will drive you nuts if the car is a daily driver and they don't use enough rubber mounting. I've got the top down 355 days a year so I'd rather keep my hearing and be able to take a work call.

If it's a weekend/seasonal driver I'd go corsa -- they have an awesome, rasp sound that gets attention.

Thought of just gutting the cats? that will improve the sound if you dont mind killing the animals off.

I got mine with borla cat back system on it. The nice part is the 4 different redirect plates that can be installed. I have left mine wide open since I got it. I love driving it with the top down. My wife thinks it is to loud. So I am going to put the middle plate in and tone it down a little.

i would advise against gutting the cats, i tried that and i got a terrible hollow poppy sounding exhaust, get rid of them before you do that, and when i bought my car it had a 40 series flowmaster on it and it barely sounded better than stock to me, i have magnaflow now but im going to borla when i do my true dual setup, for a nice sounding not to extreme exhaust i think magnaflow does the trick

i was looking into replacing the stock exhaust on my 00' SS conv. and was looking into getting hooker super competition headers, off road y pipe, flowmaster American thunder exhaust. does this sound like a good set-up? any input would be appriciated. i am also kinda on a tight budget. still trying to pay her off.
