Emissions Test

Here is the setup that i am going to be getting: Pacesetter LT Headers, TSP True Duals w/Sweet Thunder Mufflers Dumped. Now i know that i am going to need the o2 extensions and but my question is i live in IL and they only plug into my computer to do the emissions they never look or put anything into my exaust. so im wondering if i get o2 sims will that be the only thing that i have to do to pass or do i have to get the codes deleted? Because i am not going to put cats on the car. Also do you have to get a tune done with LT headers? if you have to know that my car is a 99 z28 M6.

You'll pass the OBDII test with 02 simms. Just hope they don't give a visual.

Ive done the emissions test 2 times and they never look they just plug into the computer.

Not if they work right. Sometimes they fail, or don't work from the start. There are a lot of stories across the LS1 boards about failed sims. For a cheaper fix, try this: http://www.srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93604 . I have a few buddies that have done this on Cavaliers, SS Impalas, and Chevy trucks. It has worked in every case I know of. It is waaayyy cheaper than sims. The only thing better would be to tune them out...
