Hey just wondering if anyone has had dealings with, or have run electric cut outs for a while. Was thinking about getting then but kinda leary about it since its to do with the exhaust and heat is usually the numero uno cause of electrical failure. any info would be helpful thanks

Yep. Considering it too. Before I bought my WS6, I had planned to buy a BEAUTIFUL white 99 Z28 w/ RS bodykit that had hooker cutout- Sounded awesome!!! Thinking of the same.

However, I'm about to install Jet Hot (Hooker style) LT headers, so am wondering how it's all gonna work.

Do I need to do some cutting on the Y pipe?

Yes you need to cut the Y-pipe so you can splice in the dumps. The electric doors are made to bolt right onto the cutouts that you can buy from Summit/Jegs etc....

I just recently got talked into a pair for my Chevelle. So I bought them,,,,and I actually pick them up later this evening. Just so happens one of the manufactures of them is right up the street from me,,,lol.

Now the sickness has started and my wife is going to kill me. Once they are on I will need them for every other car out here

If you really are interested in these look for the ones from Race Ready ... they've got a lifetime warranty.

I'm thinkin about doing this too. I have a great sounding exhaust on now (ARH LTs to a Magnamouth) and it'd be nice to open em up ....make em sound like woo wooooo
