Combined with a underdrive, it is a good setup. However you should be careful of the drain on your battery under some conditions. I run an Optima Red Top and have no problems. You will notice the sound of the pump as your car idles. I run a 160 thermostat, and this pump keeps my engine cool on the hottest days. Not a huge horsepower gain, but a benefit to your cooling system. Don't forget you must use a SB themostat with this pump.
