    Electric Cutouts Wiring and Installation

I just ordered dual electric cutouts off of JEGS and they should be at my door step Saturday. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on where to hide the wires to the toggle switch that I'm going to have to put in the car and where a good place for the toggle switch to be? THANKS!

Look around for the switch plates that mount in the ash tray- those look slick. I've seen 'em on eBay and around here in the appearance section.

I think one of the sponsors sells them as well. I can't recall which one.

I mounted my switch in the ashtray and ran the wires to the radio area and down behind the dash/feet area, behind the kick panel and under the door sill, under the rear carpet and out the hole in the floorpan on the passenger rear.

Where is this hole in the rear floorpan?

Where you feet go. You can't miss it. There is a rubber cap that covers it. You can see it better from under the car.

I mounted the switch in the rear wall of the ashtray. I can easily toggle it with the tip of my finger and it is totally out of sight. I have a single cutout, so I pulled the right rear passenger seat cushion and the front passenger seatbelt. I was then able to work my hand up under the carpet to run the wire to the back of the center console, and from there to the switch. I pulled power from a switched open slot in driver side fuse panel and ran the wire under the dash to the switch. It was a lot easier to wire than I thought it would be.

I mounted my toggle switch on the little traction control switch panel. My line lock swith is there too. I open and close mine a lil too often to be opening the ashtray every time.
