E3 Diamond fire
does anyone run these plugs, i seen a review of them on horsepower tv this weekend and they tested them on an engine dyno and they showed an increase in horsepower. I never thought a plug could make such a differance, i never used the most expensive plugs but never the cheapest either. Any one think these plugs would make a differance or had succes with them in their LS?

I've been using them now for about 6 months. What i noticed the most was a little quicker throttle response.

I was a kid and I bought them and put them in my truck when they first came out. Starts better, revs better but they are way to expensive. Cant gap them. Ngk 55s are the way to go IMO but if you have 100 bucks to blow on plugs go ahead. Im sure they will yield some results

I asked this same question here a while back and got mixed reviews, some think these plugs are crap and stay loyal to NGK, others really didn't have much to contribute to the thread. I haven't tried them on my LS1 yet cause I got a good deal on some msd wires and NGK plugs together. I have tried them on an older sbc and was satisfied with them, I plan on using them on after these NGK's have served their time also.

If you want a fancy plug run the tr55IX Iridium's or Delco Iridium plugs... otherwise don't waste your money. Your not going to make more power because of a spark plug. That being said, if your plugs are old and worn you'll see an improvement in changing them no matter what plug your running.

Their about $6.00 a peice from summit. You don't gap these plugs. You'll see if you decied to purchase them. I changed out from the NGK's and noticed a difference and the plugs weren't that old. It's up to you.
Their a bit of a pain to change out in our cars but I did it.

Crap!!! We installed a set in my friends 03 GMC and he had all kinds of cold start issues. We swapped them out for a set of NGK's and never had the problem again.

I was asking this 2 weeks ago and also got mixed reveiws. I went with the NGK's they are way cheaper and have a far better rap the the E3 plugs. Also Horsepower ran a comparison test this weekend with the E3 and 2 other "un-name" brands. Their test showed a 1 HP gain and a little better fuel economy. I'll wait a while before I try them...
