    Dynomax over SLP

I have a Loudmouth on my car currently. I am putting LT's on in the next few weeks. I think that with the LT's my exhaust will be too loud and too raspy. Can I just take the Loudmouth resonator out and drop something like a Dynomax bullet in its place or is there a better muffler to put in. I like loud and throaty. I love the sound of my loudmouth but i could do without some of the drone. need advice

i got a lm2 bullet muffler for the same reason but havent installed it yet. i love the volume and tone of the lm1 at idle but hate the rasp.

Dynomax sounds much better than the SLP's IMO. Especially on a cammed car. I ran long tubes into a ypipe then directly into the bullit then dumped. Sounded great for the price.

I don't have any experience with the LM1 system, but when I bought my car, it had the LM2 system on it. Drone was awful and I'm completely stock. I replaced the resonator with a Magnaflow bullet muffler. It was deeper, but still too loud for me. I ended up replacing the entire system with a Magnaflow catback. Much more quiet now, but I love it. I've heard this system really wakes up when you add long tubes too.

I have an lt1 with the LM2 system with long tubes and ORY. Egines are not the same but mine has rasp at a certian rpm all the time and I have been thinking of using a dynomax bullet, borla bullet or magnaflow bullet as well but from what I read it wont change it that much it is just going to be loud, raspy and have drone. I have not seen anyone use 2 in a row though. This was another thing I was thinking about tring.

Here it is before with the I-pipe and axle pipe still on. Don't have any of it dumped right after the y-pipe. Sorry bout the cell phone video.

Here it was with an SLP resonater in it's place. Had a horrifying rasp between 2,700 and 3,000 rpm with this set up.

Rasp was completely gone, sound level was quieter but it made it a lot deeper and full sounding.
