A cutout somewhere on the I-pipe? Will be louder, but won't add a whole lot of power. You'd still be pushing through the stock manifolds and cats before the cutout. I don't think it would be worth it. Get some longtubes and twin cutouts after the collectors. That would be mean as hell.

i would get one if you don't plan on getting a catback. You will gains horsepower - the factory Z28 exhaust if pretty damn restrictive. Then if your ever get headers you will really see some nice gains. I know someone who gains 15hp open vs. closed with cutout and LT headers.

Probably has alot more done than just an exhaust...

yes, a small cam. But i still think a cutout is a good mod for the future. Sometimes i wish i got one instead of a catback.

I would get one cutout on the I-pipe under the rear passenger side seat. There is an indent that fits a cutout perfectly.

I had a cutout for 6 months and i loved it.

by the time you get that cutout welded up the money you spent for a shop to do it could have bought you a used set of headers that you could throw on. i was in the same boat. i figured to save money i could just try a bunch of different shit with the existing exhaust. after i woke up i figured maybe spend 350 on a catback. after coming down off my mid afternoon high i realized that it would all be pointless w/o headers. start from the top and work your way down

search for exhaust cut outs in the forums. i know there was a showcase thread not too long ago where ppl posted pics of their setups. i know Mr. Luos has some bad ass twin cut outs as well as many others.
