dropping the oil pan...what's the trick?

in the process of a cam install and swapping out the oil pump. i need to lower the oil pan to get the infamous oil pickup tube bolt out. i have all 10 oil pan bolts loose, actually took the front 6 out completely, but cannot get the pan to budge. i tried prying it down with all my weight but nothing. am i doing something wrong or is it just that damn stubborn?

There's a few bell housing bolts too, that go in to the pan... Also, pull the motor mount bolts to jack up the motor some.

Correct. There are a few bolts back there by the bell housing that to me, didn't look like they would go into the oil pan. They do.
