A good tune should get rid of a lot of the raw gas smell.
Also obviously make sure there are not exhaust leaks at any of the clamps.

My only regret is how raspy my car sounds now. I need a different catback I think.

I don't regret mine at all . I used the dynatech supermaxx. It's expesive but with the high flow cats i get no codes, and the clearance under te car is good. Its worth the money . Oh yeah don't forget the polyurathane motor mounts and some locking bolts for the headers is a good idea too .

I don't regret them...just get quality stainless steel headers several good brands out there. Budget for a tune because even with cats on mine I threw codes and had to have them tuned out.

Ok my one regret is that I am looking at turbo kits now and have these soon to be useless beautiful $1300 headers!

I went with painted pacesetters for the price $257 shipped and my only regret so far is not paying someone else to do the install lol. Haven't completed the install yet, but started it yesterday and the power steering lines are a pita

The bad thing is fbodys have to fight with the back bolts. My friend helped another guy put his on his 02 trans am and said mine should be cake. He came over this morning and quickly withdrew his statement. He then stated that Gto headers are BS due to the whole steering rack having to be dropped etc lol

The car is not lowered, want the headers, but not the problems that I might have. As of now there is no leaks no worry about high spots,or dragging of the exhaust.Talk me in to it.have had the money to do it for years but each time I start to order them I think of how good it is to be worry free when I drive the TA.
The BBKs are a tight fit and tuck up underneath as good as you can get with out that shit oval pipe. SLOW DOWN over speed bumps and get a good tune

I definitly regret not shelling out the money to get some quality ones.

Went with LPP to get stainless for cheap and what a F'ing disaster it was/still is. Had to go with solid motor mounts which has now screwed me over as I cant drop my trans.

So I would definitly pay the $$$$ to get the good stuff if I had to do it again!

What's wrong with the LPPs? I have the original Ebay headers SS Autochrome and they were great for $299.

I did the motor mounts at the same time and had no clearance problems at all. the car sounds CRAZY and I love it. I have scraped once cause I hit a bump in the road a little to fast testing out the car but other than that no other problems. Got a tune from FROST, deleted the EGR & AIR which cleaned up everything real nice... 100% worth every penny I spent!!!
if you dont mine me asking what brand of ebay headers did you buy? im asking because there seem to be a lot to choose from, but I want the headers with the best quality for a decent price

Well I had to go solid motor mounts cuz of them. DS was hitting the bottom of the K and resting against the pedestal of the motor mount. PS was resting on top of the K.
