    DMH Cutout question

I've finally got the cash together to order the final part of my exhaust system...the cutout. I'm going with a single DMH 3' in the y-pipe, of course, but I do have a question. Race Ready Performance makes a wireless actuator that allows you to open and close your cutouts with a remote. Now the question is...will that actuator work with a DMH cutout? I'd get the RRP cutout, but they are quite a bit more expensive and I hear that DMH's last forever. Any thoughts? Here's the link to the actuator and the cutout I'm getting.

Why bother with a remote? I just installed the switch for ours in the ash tray.

I'd thought about that too. Emblempros.com makes a badass ashtray switchplate, but I'd always thought that having a remote would be neat.

That's a pretty neat switch. I didn't know they made anything like that. Here's what I did on ours: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137873

Wow that looks clean, man. Maybe I will just go with the ashtray switch! By the way, is a turndown pipe necessary? I can see why it would be a good idea to get one, but I'd like to get some feedback on that.

From all the pics posted on here -- I would say that it is a necessity if you do not want the underside of your car all black from exhaust soot. The only thing I have to remember is not to open it on a dirt road or dusty paved road as it will blow stuff all over the underbody. Another member sold me the turndown -- he bought a set from Jeg's and only needed one, as did I.
