quick back pressure lesson:
to much restriction causes to much BP. Flowmaster mufflers are power robbing because they don't flow well, so are the stock manifolds on an agressive cammed car. This causes the engine to work harder to force exhaust out, causing slower revs and a loss of power.
to little, such as running only open headers causes the exhaust to just lolly gag its way out of the engine.
just enough such as a low restrictive exhaust, Y, H, or X which increase scavenging in that order create a vortex that pulls, pushes the exhaust out of the engine.
Snake Eater: as long as your exhaust cutout is before the muffler that is where it's suppsed to be, to allow the gas to exit freely without that restriction in the muffler, anywhere on the I pipe should have the same effect.
