stock size is 2.75in. A 3in cutout will slip over it and work nice when welded in.

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
i had a 3" cutout with LTs and ORY that I left open until I installed a big cam...
once the cam was installed and LM2 followed. cutout and cam was too loud and too many fumes in the car, even with a great tune.

Its basically like running open headers. Most weld it on the headers right before it splits into the Y-pipe. This way the fumes come straight out of the headers and into the ground instead of making their way back to the rear of the car and out the exhaust tips. Performance wise I heard mix reviews (gaining power), but sound wise its ear bleedingly loud!!!

I have LT and ORY with Cutout (3inch, stock pipe), it sounds SO much better with the cutout, once you close it..... your car sounds like a bitch

DMH cutout with a Hooker Catback is like the best of both worlds. Quiet when it has to be and loud when I want it to be.
