dont worry about emmisions i passed with all my mods in sig and the cutout was open, the friggin emissions guy even revved my car a few times before getting out and complimented me on how it sounded.(it was tested in greenwhich too)

as far as getting it installed no regular muffler shop will touch it cause there scared u either have to find a mom and pop place or just someone who doesnt car.

what part of ct r u in cause a guy in stamford did my cutout

Not everywhere I bet..any state with strict emmisions will have a law against an aftermarket unit that leaks..and all of them leak some...they are illegal here..

other way around. you lose lowend and gain top end. i did an experiment with my black car. lost .1 60ft, gained 1 mph, for an overall 1/4 ET gain of .02. this was a stock exhaust vs .cutout.

at the bottom of this page is all the track testing i did.
    http://www.stealthram.com/bassanidualexhaust.htm

on the dyno i gained 11/13 by opening the cutout. but, that was AFTER 3200 rpms. can't read below 3200 rpms or the car would downshift into second.

Damn, you're lucky then... Cops gb and east and sw of the state were complete DICKS about everything... one pulled me over because "my car had loud exhaust" :O It was my BONE STOCK V-6 Camaro!!!!! So I had to drive the 600 mile trip home that weekend (was only given 5 days to do this) to have the shop that replaced my stock muffeler to another stock muffeler sign my ticket so I could bring it back to the cop to get it pulled off my record!! grrrr

I gained 8 RWHP with the cutout open, but is sounds like 80! AND electric is the way to go. Have never had a problem when smogging it; just keep it closed when I go. The shops around here are just concerned about the cat converters being relocated; no long-tubes for me. Putting it right after the passenger seat gives the most power, while keeping the sound non-deafening. Putting it before the cat converter might throw some codes.
