    cut out

    this is going to sound stupid but i just put flowmasters on my 98z and the guy installing asked if i wanted a cutout installed....is it good for proformance boost or just sound ?......thoughts please !

    Depends really, Alot of people go for sound but on the top end it will boost it, although on the bottom end you will loose some torque.
    I would say go for it considering you got a flowmaster which flows like poo.

    I've found cut-outs to be more effective on LT1 cars, though with the flowmaster you should definitely benifit from one.

    I have QTP electric.......on the dyno with them open I showed an increase of 4 rwhp and 14 rwt all along the chart.................
