    Custom Stainless Headers????

I can't seem to make up my mind on what material headers to purchase. there's a member here that posted in the ebay "option" headers thread claiming that he is now making custom headers for LS1's with better clearance than the other manufacturers. his pricing is insanely cheap. so, my question is, is this guy for real and how bad is the heat from stainless (wrapped or not) and the ceramic coated?

depends on the variables. i just can't afford buying everything at once. maybe headers one month and ORY, e-cutouts the next. already have borla cat-back.

If you can afford Borla, you can afford Kooks
If you dont want Kooks, pacesetters are what everyone recommends for a good price/quality balance. Not saying there is anything wrong with ebay headers, but i didn't want to risk it

I don't know the guy, but I have read his posts. For one, he shouldn't be on this site pushing his product when hes not a sponsor. Two, I didn't see any reviews on his product or any hard information that what he was claiming with his headers was true.

If any ebay header, it would be option racing headers
But i would have the AIR and EGR fittings cut off and welded up. People have problems with those breaking off but besides that those are supposed to be the best ebay headers. Hookers can be had for decent prices, and pacesetters like i said earlier are also pretty well recommended. If you want the best of the best i would recommend Kooks, ARH, QTP, and LPP. These all come highly recommended. As for y-pipes, the pacesetter y has problems with banging, the Texas speed y is now redesigned and i would highly recommend that one.

I have LPP headers and off road Y on my LT1. All good. Not the best but the best buy for the money. Got lt headers and Y for $500. Cant beat that. They will not rust and they look great with the heat blues after a couple of runs. Need to do some little mods so they fit with rubs but great clearance.

Are there any more pictures of the LPP headers anywhere? It would be nice to see multiple-view close-ups--along with some reviews.

with the borla you really don't need the cut out. the right side pipe goes straight out. you would/ should put the cut out under the passenger rear seat. there is a nice spot for it there. it would be about to feet or so from when the pipe goes over the rear end and out. save your money for the headers amd ory.

i have borla on two of my cars. with headers and ory you will hear how loud it is.

Option Racing brand on ebay seem to be the best
Other than that your better off with pacesetter, hooker, etc.
