    coolant odor

My car has a coolant smell only during driving and its just a strong whiff that goes away with in 10-15 seconds. The radiator cap ,waterpump and the heater core are all new?

Just cuz there new dont mean they cant leak again,,

Use some water based UV die,,,a good amount of it,,and run the car fro a few days,,then at night in the garage put on your special gogles and use the UV led light to track down any cooling system leaks that will show with the water based UV die in it,,,

UV based water die is a great tool for coolant leaks,,,

    so is KY

I am thinking this, or maybe residual coolant on the radiator core support when the coolant was flushed/refilled when serviced. I know mine smelled like dex when I had my water pump and radiator replaced. There was residual coolant on the radiator core support. The smell has been gone for the past few months as when I wash my car, I spray water through the lower grille to wash out any residual coolant from the radiator core support.
