or you can just cut and braze your old ones and save yourself the money. thats what i did. it was what the directions said for my Weiand intake. heres the link to their instructions with illustrations (pg. 4). its really easy.

Hey. MpFranks, did you notice any gains from your weiand Ls1 intake manifold over the stock? does it come with intake gaskets and throttle body gaskets? was thinking of getting ls6 but the weiand is more budget friendlier

    thanks

Besides the pre 01 lines have "better" cooling capabilities for the rear cylinder anyways.

the weiand intake is an ls6 intake. its just not made by gm. so yes, i noticed the same gains as everyone else. and it does come with all the gaskets and hard ward. the only thing that was a bitch, was the connectors in the back for the wiring harness on the MAP sensor and vacuum lines. it took a little bit of fudging around because the placement on the back of the intake is different, so i had to lengthen the wires. if you look at the link i posed, in figure 4., it showes where the MAP sensor attaches to the intake. well the wires dont reach it. also, in the same picture you can see where there are 2 openings for the vacuum lines, well the stock one only has 1, but has 2 fitting on the one opening. well the second opening on the weiand is directly in the way of the MAP sensor, so i also had to plug the second opening, and fabricate a dual fitting for the one side. (using the barbs provided, and brazing them together) hope that makes sense. basically it was a HUGE pain in the ass. if i wouldnt have gotten mine for such a cheap price i would have gotten the ls6. i also just wanted to keep my egr/air, my qtp headers have it too. just depends on what you want. over all, since it all done and running great, im happy with it, but at the time ive never had an intake manifold give me so much trouble, so i hated it, lol. youll need a lot of patience, and a good mechanical background to attempt this. if you want to avoid ALL headaches then then just spend the extra cash and just go with the ls6. my $.02
