Cheapest place to buy ls6 intake

I'm looking to get an ls6 intake but not sure which one to go with.. they all seem expensive. Also what happens if you delete the egr?? I have longtubes now and the egr is all hooked up.

whats expensive? 325 bucks and under is a good price right now. Nothing happens if you delete EGR besides you getting rid of some EPA HP robbing BS.

Hmm. Havent found any in that price range. I think I seen a GM performance part ls6 intake on speed inc. and that was around $460. Cheapest I found.

Stop looking new. Buy used. They go for 300/325/350 all day. I bet I could find 2-3 sales right now if I searched.

Would it be a better idea to go with a FAST combo rather than the ls6 intake if I plan on more mods later on?

how much longer til you start your heavy mods. you can get a used ls6 for 300+ like above stated and the plus side is if you get an ls6 there is a possible return on your money. for example you buy the ls6 now and put it on, and a year or even a few months later you get a fast and sell the ls6 you will still be able to get 300 out of the deal. unless you are hellbent on getting the fast right now then i would get the ls6 in your case. i did the same. used ls6 for 300 and when i make a solid decision of sticking with my block or getting a stroker and actually get things going on my build, i plan on selling the ls6.

well in that case the for sale section a few pop up here and there. ebay, and if you want ls1tech. their for sale section would justify registering there.

Just search the classifieds....you can probably find a ported BBK, etc....for cheap.

Is a BBK intake worth a fart? I see them all the time for a decent price, I know it's not a fast but is it close?

No, you can't. The LS7 has rectangular intake ports, will not match up with the cathedral ports on the LS1/2/6 heads.

there are horror stories but at for every horror story is at least a dozen smooth transactions. ive had 2 problems online which were companies not individuals. even the 2 problems got sorted out. they just took longer than i wanted them to. ls1techs for sale section is pretty big i try to keep an eye wherever i can for a nice sale. there for sale section is the only reason i log onto there.

Check EBAY and get a Mail Order Tune to turn off the EGR stuff so you won't have problems with an SES light.
