Changing Spark Plugs
Aquired a 98 LS1 with 146000 miles on it. Replace fuel pump, water pump, oil, filters, and now I would like to change the plugs. Driver side, no issues, passenger side???? Remove all I can from the top, or approach plugs from underneath? any self help tips???

i did mine just the other day , i removed the air pump hose and did number 8 from underneath no problems little tight but no big deal

Take the coil pack off of the passenger side valve cover....this will make life much easier. I was able to do all 8 from above.

i did all my plugs from the top. all i removed was the air tubes. i left the coil packs there. took me bout hour and half to do it

installuniversity has a real good write up. and get #8 from underneath. easy.

your gonna have to go from above and below really- and the only real difficult part is getting those little boot things with the springs apart from the plug... but yeah the number 8 is all the way at the back on th epass side and can be a little tricky- works best if you have a buddy to help you- i always work on my car with someone else - or most of the time- makes things easier, faster, and fun-

I did mine from above. Print off the Installuniversity guide, it helps. Took off the AIR and coil pack on passenger side and #8 went easier than #7 for me. I used a 1in extension along with a swivel extension and had no problems. Stupid 7 broke on me and.... thats another story.
If you have to, make it a 2 day effort. I switched driver side, then drove to in-laws and next day did passenger.
