    Question cats or not?

Redoing the exhaust, and want some input on cats. Thinking of running Pacesetter LT and a Y-pipe, no cats. Im in an emissions county but can get around the inspection. What are your thoughts, performance wise?

the guy that is doing that to mine says it will be fine. he is deleting the rear
o2s. he said performance wise your freeing up the flow so it's not going to hurt anything. i'm going with no cats and no muffler though. untill i decide if it's to loud. some people have different opinions on whats too loud and just loud. personally i think mufflers on cars are pretty quiet. before i put mine in the shop i was running stock cats with no muffler and i think that was a perfect sound, not to quiet and not to loud.

you will lose about 7 horsepower and 9 lbs of torque with cats and not to mention the extra $200+ dollars to buy the catted y or have some welded in.
