cat back or wait?

hey there fellows. im in the market right now for and exhaust system. im thinking a cat back borla system and maybe a magnaflow y pipe and cat converter. my question is do you think the magnaflow will hold back the borlas potential or help it and also what kind of headers to go with after that. or should i jsut wait it out and get the whole syatem done at once in one brand. any comments will help thanks fellas

Well ihave magnaflow catback on my car and personally I like my magnaflows sound better then borla...and magnaflow ypipe?? They make a ypipe... I would wait to do my ypipe when I did headers..

I agree with all that. I have just a magnaflow catback and thats it. Headers, Y, and cats are next...

what kind of magnaflow do you guys have the dual tip or quad. i mean is there really a big difference between the two. and yes i believe magna does make y pipes

don't buy any Y pipe if you're planning on doing headers. Most headers have their own Y and won't interchange with others. In the review area there's a few people that have bought the ebay stainless headers. Not sure if they're installed yet but if they get good reviews ( I know some of the ebay stainless headers have) then toss a set of those on with a magnaflow catback and call it a day. Just do it all at once if you can afford that or wait until you have all the parts so you're not doing work twice.

I would do it at the same time. Do you really want to do the cat back then have to take it apart to do the headers. One shot, one time.

I have the Borla and I love it, Magnaflow sounds good too, just not loud enough for me, but I hear they sound great with headers.....If I were u I would just get the cat-back now and wait to get the y-pipe if u ever get headers

I have the Magnaflow too and love it, my brother got his used from craigslist but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow Exhaust 16803, or you can try one of the sponsors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
